Brazil teen confesses to 12 killings, police say

SAO PAULO, Brazil (AP) -- A 16-year-old boy has admitted to the murders of 12 people in southern Brazil, according to a police investigator who described a chillingly calm confession.

This Brazilian 16-year-old says he killed 12 people in three months, police say.

The teenager, whose identity was not revealed because he is a minor, allegedly told police he killed his victims over the past three months in a fit or rage or out of revenge, and police inspector Enizaldo Jose Plentz said Friday he believes the boy killed some of his victims for enjoyment.

He said police have enough evidence to prove the teenager, an unemployed high school dropout, shot dead at least six of the 12 people he says he killed.

Police were still trying to determine if another six people killed in and around Novo Hamburgo, Brazil, were also the teenagers' victims.

Police, who were investigating the murder of a 39-year-old store owner, arrested the youth Wednesday at his home in the city of Novo Hamburgo, Plentz said.

"He told us he shot the store owner because he had been slapped in the face during an argument the two had a few minutes earlier," Plentz said. "But we think he killed him during a robbery attempt."

"During interrogations, he spoke with the frightening coldbloodedness of someone who enjoys killing people," the inspector said.

The teenage suspect is being held in a juvenile detention center, where he will undergo a battery of psychological tests for the next 45 days.

Plentz said police have proof the youth killed the store owner and at least five other people with an initial shot to the head, before riddling their bodies with bullets.

"The calmness with which he described the murders and how he would have killed three more if we had not arrested him was scary," Plentz said. "He told us he only killed people who deserved to die like the young man he shot dead because he wanted to date his sister." E-mail to a friend E-mail to a friend

Say, what? In the bizzare plot, rather than have the complete surgery and become a man, Thomas decided to only undergo breast surgery and testosterone treatment–meaning that although legally he is a man, he retained his ‘reproductive rights’.

His wife, Nancy, cannot have children following a hysterectomy 20 years ago, so two years ago, when they decided to start a family, they decided he would carry the baby. The Beaties, of Bend, Oregon, lives are a mirror reflection of the 1994 Arnold Schwarzenegger film ‘Junior.’

Pimpin' Pimpin'....Girl, 13, Accused Of Pimping Other Teen

The Dallas Morning News reports that a 13-year-old middle school student is accused of luring another girl her age into prostitution, police said Tuesday.

The paper says undercover officers entered the Metropolis club early Saturday, the 13-year-old victim approached an officer and made a deal to perform a sex act for money, police say. Both girls were then taken into custody.

"It's a very unusual circumstance," said Sgt. Byron Fassett, supervisor of the high-risk victims and trafficking unit. "I haven't run into a case like this."

Vice unit officers were at the club to investigate reports that alcohol was being served after-hours.

The first girl is accused of compelling prostitution, a second-degree felony that involves causing "by any means a person younger than 17 years to commit prostitution."

Police are investigating whether the girl may have persuaded other girls to engage in prostitution. She and the alleged victim attend the same school.

There was one arrest at the latest Soulja Boy concert at U.S. Cellular Coliseum. A 12 year-old boy was taken into custody Wednesday night for throwing a rock through the windshield of Soulja Boy's bus. Why? The kid told arresting officers, "I hate Soulja Boy."
Bloomington police used a supervisor and five officers on overtime to provide security for the hip hop concert.

ORLANDO, Fla. - A teacher was put on paid leave Tuesday while officials investigate why a student urinated in a lunch box during her class.

The Meadowbrook Middle School student urinated in a lunch box while hiding behind a classroom bookcase, Orange County school officials said Tuesday.

According to statements by other students in the class, school officials think that when the boy asked to go the restroom on Thursday, teacher Jameeka Chambers told him to hold it or use her lunch box.

The boy took the lunch box, hid behind a bookcase, urinated in it and returned it to her, Frank Kruppenbacher, attorney for the Orange County School Board, told the Orlando Sentinel.

"I think we clearly know she didn't tell him, 'Go pee in this box,' in the sense of going to go do that," Kruppenbacher said. "That's beyond our comprehension."

Chambers is to be interviewed on Monday.

The next morning the boy's mother complained to the principal and told a local TV station that Chambers would not allow him to use the restroom.

The boy was not regularly in Chambers' class, but was in her room to complete makeup work on a computer, Kruppenbacher said.

This is a first-year teaching job for Chambers, who teaches sixth-grade language arts.

Alaska Teen Wins Rotten Sneaker Contest

ANCHORAGE, Alaska - Ben Russell has a title most people would walk away from. Russell, 15, from Eagle River, Alaska, beat seven other contestants from around the country to claim the title of rottenest sneakers in the country.

He won the championship in Montpelier, Vermont, in the annual Odor-Eaters Rotten Sneaker Contest, sponsored by the shoe insert maker.
